Paraphrase

Bēl-eṭēri-Šamaš sold a donkey with deferred payment of the purchase price (“credit purchase”), i.e. Ninurta-ālik-pāni received the donkey immediately but paid the complete purchase price on a later date. NBC 06138 records the outstanding debt, which Ninurta-ālik-pāni still owes to Bēl-eṭēri-Šamaš:

Ninurta-ālik-pāni, son of Kidinnāja, owes (ina muḫḫi) 14 shekels of silver and 0;0.4.0 sūtu of [sesame], which are the property of Bēl-eṭēri-Šamaš, son of Aplāja. He (= Ninurta-ālik-pāni) has to pay (nadānu) the silver and the sesame in the month tašrītu (= seventh month). The silver is the price (šīmu) of a donkey, in addition (elat) to an earlier (panû) amount of silver (paid).

2 witnesses and 1 scribe: Ḫabaṣīru, son of Šumu-iddin, Ninurta-aḫḫē-bulliṭ, son of Niqūdu, and the scribe: Ninurta-aplu-iddin, son of Mušēzib-[…].
