The tablet is damaged. Preserved is that it concerns a joint business venture (ana ḫarrāni). The underlying arrangement is a form of commenda in which one party, Lāqīpu, provides the capital, and also enjoys half of the profit. It stipulates that as much as (mimma mala) the parties make from (ina muḫḫi) the 2 minas, half a share of the profit of the share of Lāqīpu (aḫi ina utur zitti Lāqīp), he will enjoy with them (ittīšunu ikkal). Bēl-eṭēri-Šamaš (and potentially a third party) will share the rest of the silver between them. They stand surety (pūtu našû) for the payment in full (eṭēru) of the silver. Out of that which Lāqīpu is going to enjoy, they have taken expenses (tēlītu) of a tenth (of that).
The witnesses, scribe and date are destroyed.
