Paraphrase

Letter of Šamaš-erība to Mušēzib-Bēl (/Nabû-zēru-iddin//Erībšu, blacksmith, oblate?, širku?) and Ibni-Ištar (/Bēl-upaḫḫir//Nagāru, blacksmith), “his brothers”, complaining that his previous message, a demand for a bow-case (tillu) for the king, was neither answered nor heeded. He urgently (ḫanṭiš) demands a bow-case (tillu) and cotton, threatening to turn to the king (amāt šarri) about this. The sender requests a writing board (lē’û)  containing information about oblates (širku) be obtained and read. In a broken passage at the end, the sender tells them that Nabû-nāṣir-apli should pay silver to the chiefs of ten (rab ešērti) and that they should facilitate this (ḫarrānu ana šēpē šakānu).
