Paraphrase

Letter of Nabû-ēṭir-napšāti (deputy governor of the Sealand, šanû) (NEN) to Nādinu (= Nabû-nādin-šumi/Bēl-šumu-iškun//Dābibī, High Priest, šatammu), “his brother”, warning him not to treat him like Ibnaya by diverting (kutallu târu) the red dye (ḫurḫurātu) earmarked for the letter sender to another buyer. The letter announces that NEN is sending Šumu-iddin (ŠI) to the recipient who will bring the silver for the red dye (ḫurḫurātu). After a broken passage, the sender stresses that recipient someone (likely ŠI) needs to return speedily. The recipient should take 2 minas of silver from this man and give him wool in return, stating that this man will also pay for the remainder (rēḫu) of the wool owed by the sender. He then tells the recipient to have delivered 10 minas of his own silver to the sender, who will exchange it for whatever the recipient needs. In closing, the sender asks about the well-being of the sender and expresses that he wants to receive an answer.
