Letter of the Governor of the Sealand (šākin māti) to Nabû-nādin-šumi (/Bēl-šumu-iškun//Dābibī, High Priest, šatammu) and Marduk-ēṭir (/Bēl-šumu-iškun//Dābibī, Temple Scribe, ṭupšar bīti), “his brothers”, reminding them not to neglect (lā šelû) their work (dullu) and their service (maṣṣartu), and telling them to take care of the service (maṣṣartu) of the temple of his gods. The sender announces his arrival, and explains what he was doing – he withheld Nanaya-ibni and Ardiya and all the messengers because they swore an oath (šumu elû) to take care of his service (maṣṣartu).
