Letter of Marduk-nāṣir to Nabû-nādin-šumi (/Bēl-šumu-iškun//Dābibī, High Priest, šatammu), “his father”, complaining that the recipients (pl.) hampered his journey. He urgently (ḫanṭiš) requests (travel) provisions (ṣidītu) and sheep for sacrifices as kīnāyatu-gifts. He stresses the urgency by repeating “quickly” (ḫanṭiš) three more times. He informs the recipient that he will take one caravan donkey worth ½ a mina (of silver) from Ṣillaya (Ṣ), the Chief of the Cattle Pens (rab qannāti), and that the recipient should give him another donkey instead. In broken context, a Nabû-tukulti and another man are mentioned is mentioned who will come with him. In closing, the sender states that he entrusts Ṣ to the recipient.
