Paraphrase

Letter by a broken sender to a broken recipient, “his lord”, asking for help, as the recipient had assured him that he will stand by his side. The sender now asks for a messenger of the recipient to come to the temple to reassure the people there that the recipient is involved. The sender refers to a previous talk with the recipient about dates, and informs him that he followed what the recipient told him to do and spoke to the king about his problem. The recipient was then summoned to the king, but was not available. The sender was in contact with Marduk-ēṭir (/Bēl-šumu-iškun//Dābibī, Temple Scribe, ṭupšar bīti) (ME) about this, who sent him information (mandītu) about the recipient and told the sender to contact the recipient to tell him that he should come so that ME can assign the dates to him. But the recipient did not get the message. The sender stresses that the king did not assign him any dates. Before the letter breaks of, he states that the recipient should not act based on what […] says.
