Paraphrase

Letter of Nabû-nādin-šumi (/Bēl-šumu-iškun//Dābibī, High Priest, šatammu) to Marduk-ēṭir (/Bēl-šumu-iškun//Dābibī, Temple Scribe, ṭupšar bīti), “his brother” (only in the greeting formula, no appellation in the introduction), urgently (ḫantiš) requesting golden gifts (tarīmtu) to be delivered by Ḫubaṣū, a man named Nabû-silim and a horse for Bēl (sīsu ša Bēl), repeatedly reminding the recipient not to be negligent (lā šelû) in broken context, i.a. about his duties (maṣṣartu). The text also mentions the duties (maṣṣartu) of another official or craftsman (šá lú.[x x x]). In closing, the sender asks for his news of his brother and about his well-being (ṭēmu u šulmu lū šemû).
