Letter of Iqīšaya (/Bēl-aḫu-iddin, likely identical with Šamaš-zēru-iqīsa/Bēl-aḫu-iddin) (I) to Nabû-nādin-šumi (High Priest, šatammu), “his father”, answering a message by the recipient about donkeys. NNŠ had written to him because the donkeys had not arrived at their destination. I swears (šum ilī šūlû) that he wrote to NNŠ as soon as they arrived. He then swears something by Bēl and Nabû in broken context. He then goes on to answer an inquiry by NNŠ about a fine (murruqu) donkey, stating that he will send the donkey immediately. In closing, he asks for his father’s instructions and his well-being (ṭēmu u šulmu lū šemû).
