Bēl-eṭēri-Šamaš owed silver to Nabu-aḫu-uṣur, since he sold an ox to him, on which a third party had claims.
Bēl-eṭēri-Šamaš, son of Aplāja, owes (ina muḫḫi) one third of a shekel of silver, the principal amount, with one eighth (bitqu) of impurity, the property (ša) of Nabu-aḫu-uṣur, the son of Nabû-utēr. The monthly interest rate is one shekel per one mina of silver (ina muḫḫīšu).
In the month nisannu (= first month) he is going to give back the silver.
The silver is the price for an […] ox , which Bēl-eṭēri-Šamaš sold for exactly (ḫariṣ) one third of a mina of silver to Nabu-aḫu-uṣur. Nusku-dān claimed it (ibqiršu) in the presence (ina ušuzzi) of Bēl-eṭēri-Šamaš and led it away (ībukšu).
3 witnesses and 1 scribe: Ḫašdāja, son of Nabû-mukīn-apli, Barīk-il, the son of Bēl-ašma’, […]-ibni, son of Šamaš-ibni, and the scribe: Šamaš-šarru-uṣur, son of Šadûnu.
