Letter of Nabû-rēmanni (NR) to the High Priest (of Eanna, šatammu) and Nabû-aḫu-iddin (Royal Overseer, ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti), "his lords", about barley, answering a message by the recipients on the share of a certain Balāṭu (B) in the barley. NR informs the recipients that B has ransomed his share via his sheep and goats as well as dates. What is left of the barley is the royal share. NR also informs the recipients that the farmers and neighbours (itû, ˹ús!˺.sa.(du).meš) from whom he took fields to give them to B are (nonetheless) herding (animals in the fields).
