Letter of Sîn-šu[mu-ēreš] and Šamaš-šarru-[…] to Imbia (Royal Resident, qīpu) and Šamaš-mukīn-apli (High Priest, šatammu), "their brothers", about wine and Dilmun dates which were the topic of a precious message by the recipients. The letter was sent with 2 šappatu-containers of mountain (wine) sealed (with bitumen) and 3;1.3 of Dilmun dates. As the senders received only few men, they only sent two jars of wine. They now request half a talent of Egyptian alum and ten minas of wax which should be delivered via d.Igi.du-iddin (possibly Nergal-iddin) if they are available. The letter then switches to the first person singular to emphasize reciprocity, as the sender emphatically assures the recipients that they will receive whatever they need from him if they send a message about it. In closing, it is stressed that the temple of the senders really is in need of goods.
