Letter to Nabû-aḫu-iddin (NAI) (Royal Overseer, ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti), "his lord", about livestock and arrears. Kīnāya/Nabû-aḫu-iddin, shepherd in the shelters (tabīnu) of the flocks of the men at Iqīšāya/Nanaya-ērēš’s disposal came in for shearing, bringing 30 sheep of Tattannu, shepherd of Nabû, with him (i.e., mixing the herds of Nabû and the Lady of Uruk). This influenced the inspection result (mandētu) of the small livestock of Nabû, resulting in Adad-râm, royal shepherd, giving as result (nadānu) 20 goats as remainder (rēḫu) and therefore leading away one piece of cattle to make up for this. The sender requests NAI to order that three female slaves (amēluttu), Šulum-ābišu and Lā-tubāššīnni as well as the latter’s daughter, which had been designated (as a replacement) (abāku) for the sheep and goats of the Eanna, to be led away from NAI’s house. Additionally, NAI should order that one leads his (NAI’s) female donkey, with a neck marked (šaṭāru) with (the mark of) someone else, away to cover the remainder (rēḫu) in cattle and small livestock.
