Letter of Nabû-aḫu-iddin (NAI) (Royal Overseer, ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) to the High Priest (šatammu), "his brother", about a debt owed to Ḫatinu (Ḫ). The palace scribes (ṭupšarru ša ekalli) are delaying NAI and the group with which he is travelling because of this debt which they consider to be unpaid, whereas the Eanna officials told them that they had already paid Ḫ and had received a debt note from him in return. This, however, has not been noted in the royal writing board (lē’u) as being owed by the High Priest (Kurbanni-Marduk/Zēria//Sîn-damāqu), Ilī-rēmanni (Royal Overseer), Nādinu (temple scribe, ṭupšarru ša Eanna) and Kināya (temple scribe, ṭupšarru ša Eanna). NAI therefore requests said debt note as well as the contract (riksu) concluded with Ḫ.
