Letter of Nabû-aḫu-iddin (NAI) (Royal Overseer, ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) to the High Priest (šatammu, Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādinu//Dābibī), "his brother", about problems unloading a ship because the flour storehouse (bīt qēmi) needs to be checked by a magian (maguš) first. NAI also informs the High Priest that he sent Zēria (Z) to him to pick up and ship flour, spices (tābīlu), wool, necessities (ḫišiḫtu) (for (tp)Abanu). He also requests two grinding stones for cumin. NAI requests that the High Priest dispatch men currently under the responsibility of Šamaš-udammiq (/Ina-tēšî-ēṭer) and Šumu-ibni (chiefs of ten or chiefs of fifty, rab ešerti or rab ḫanšē) to be sent with the ships. NAI then requests barley for the king’s table (naptānu) and silver should no barley be available to buy some himself. NAI additionally requests 20 women (likely for milling). The letter closes with an admonition not to be negligent and urges the dispatch of goods under Z. (lā šelû, kapdu).
