Paraphrase

Letter of Innin-aḫḫē-iddin (IAI) (chief of oblates, rab širki) to Nādinu (N) (/Bēl-aḫḫē-iqīša//Egibi) (temple scribe, ṭupšarru ša Eanna), "his father", requesting allowances (kurummatu) based on current and old writing boards (lē’u). He states that until new (payment) assignments are made by Gubāru (G) (Governor of Babylonia and Across the River) for oblates (širku) of Bēl, Nabû and Nergal, they are to be paid based on the amounts from the time of Nebuchadnezzar, and asks if the temples have written to Parnakka (P) about this. He also reports on a meeting between G and the chiefs of fifty (rab ḫanšē) and the chiefs of ten (rab ešerti), in which G asked about their workload, and in which the chiefs answered that they lacked workers because many of them fled or starved to death. The letter also mentions that until P is contacted by letter, the temple should hand 5;0 of barley and 5;0 of dates to Anu-mukīn-apli (likely /Nanaya-iddin) for his workers.
