Paraphrase

Letter of Innin-aḫḫē-iddin (IAI) (chief of oblates, rab širki) to Nādinu (N) (/Bēl-aḫḫē-iqīša//Egibi) (temple scribe, ṭupšarru ša Eanna), "his father". IAI threatens N with informing Gubāru (Governor of Babylonia and Across the River) if he does not comply with IAI’s need for allowances (kurummatu). IAI requests that his accounts be balanced based on writing boards (lē’u) at N’s disposal, suspecting fraudulent procedure with regard to his deliveries. He tells N to check the writing boards of former kings, Nebuchadnezzar, Neriglissar and Nabonidus, about providing for workers in Akkad and at the (tp)Tagritajn-canal. IAI also informs N that he left Babylon with his 180 workers, but that he cannot go beyond (tp)Šaḫrīn if the oblates’ (širku) allowances are diminished compared to those documented in writing boards from the times of Nebuchadnezzar, Neriglissar and Nabonidus.
