Paraphrase

Letter of Anu-šarru-uṣur (AŠU) (Royal Resident, qīpu) to Nabû-aḫu-iddin (NAI) (Royal Overseer, ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti), "his brother", asking why NAI gave allowances (kurummatu) and wool to chiefs of ten without Ubār (U) and Šadûnu (Š) (chiefs of fifty, rab hanšē) present. AŠU requests 200;0 barley as allowances (kurummatu) for work in the countryside (ša ṣēri) via U and Š. AŠU swears (lū īdû kī) by Šamaš that the creditors have taken all the barley that Ištar-zēru-iqīša had brought to him. He complains about work and pressure from the king (šarru ina muḫḫi) before urgently (kapdu) requesting that U and Š are sent to him (ḫarrānu ana šēpē šakānu) and that they leave on the 1st of m.VII.
