Account of 23 minas 13 2/3 shekels of silver that Bēl-ibni/Nādinu (BI) and Marduk-šumu-līšir/Balāssu (MŠL) spent in Babylon on gold and other expenses (tēlītu) in Nbn. 01.VII.
Credits: the silver that was taken (našû) to Babylon with BI and MŠL for the purchase (maḫīru) of gold; a gift (lit. income, erbu) of Bēl-ēṭir, son of the simmagir-official; and the silver for (kūm) iron that was given in Ngl. 03.XIIb for salāmu and taken by Nādinu.
Debits are payments for gold to the following individuals: Nabû-rēmanni, Nabû-mukku-elip, Iqīša, Nabû-ušēzib, Zabdīa, Ḫašdāya, an Arab ((tp)arbāya), Adad-rapā, Šilāya, Šumu-iddin, Ilaya-Adad-ḫara, Nabû-dayyānu, […]lā, Palaḫ-rapāya. In sum, 21 minas and 11 shekels of silver were spent to buy 2 minas 25 3/4 shekels of gold.
Additionally, 1 mina was spent to buy 15 linen šalḫu-garments, 34 shekels for 62 minas 20 shekels of salt, and 30 shekels for other supplies (ḫišiḫtu) for Eanna, the sealing (šinītu) of the wall (dūru), at the disposal (ina pāni) BI, and 2 shekels for erecting (šakānu) a stela (asumittu) for Ilaya-ezzu, jeweler (kabsarru), 15 shekels for the treasury (makkūru), 1 shekel for 2 minas of herbs (šammu).
Total: 23 minas 33 shekels of silver.
