Bēl-eṭēri-Šamaš, son of Aplāja, owes (ina muḫḫi) one-and-a-half minas of silver, which are the property of Enlil (makkūr Ellili) and which are under the administration of (“in the hands of”, ina qātī) Šamaš-aḫu-iddin, son of Ninurta-aḫḫē-iqīša. Bēl-eṭēri-Šamaš has to pay back (nadānu) this silver (one-and-a-half minas of silver), the principal amount (i.e., no interest), on the 15th day of the month du’ūzu (= fourth month).
Bēl-eṭēri-Šamaš pledged (maškanu) a house located near the Elugalgusisa city gate ([bītu] ša ina abul Elugalgusisa) of Nippur, which he had received from (ina qātī) Šamaš-šarru-uṣur, the son of Iqīšāja, as security for the debt of one-and-a-half minas of silver.
The debt note NBC 06133 also stipulates that no other creditor may assert a claim against the house until the creditor Šamaš-aḫu-iddin has received the outstanding debt of one-and-a-half minas of silver. In case Bēl-eṭēri-Šamaš does not pay back his debt until the 15th day of the month du’ūzu (= fourth month), then the house will be the property of his creditor Šamaš-aḫu-iddin (pāni Šamaš-aḫu-iddin iddaggal) instead of (kūm) the of one-and-a-half minas of silver according to this tablet (akī tuppīšu) NBC 06133.
