Nabû-mukīn-apli/Zēr-Bābili//Rēʼû and his brother Mušēzibu/Zēr-Bābili//Rēʼû state before Nabû-šarru-uṣur, Royal Overseer (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna, Libluṭ, royal courtier, Keeper of the Royal Box (ša rēš šarri ša muḫḫi quppi ša šarri), and 6 witnesses, that they had killed (dâku) a date palm in their field in m.VIII 02.Nbn, and that they had given it to Madānu-aḫḫē-iddin/Gimillu//Šigûa (MAI), who did not (even) see the killing of the date palm. Their brother Marduk-zēru-ibni/Zēr-Bābili//Rēʼû had previously accused MAI of killing the date palm.

Madānu-aḫḫē-iddin/Gimillu//Šigûa was overseer (šāpiru) of the brewers and held a brewer’s prebend; see Frame 2017: 114.
