Paraphrase

Letter of Nabû-aḫḫē-iddin (/Nergal-ušallim//Nūr-Sîn, High Priest, šatammu) to Mušēzib-Bēl (/Nabû-zēru-iddin//Erībšu, blacksmith, oblate?, širku?) and Ibni-Ištar (/Bēl-upaḫḫir//Nagāru, blacksmith), “his brothers”, inquiring about their work (dullu) in the greeting formula. The sender requests a writing board (lē’û) which is kept in a wooden šiddatu-container (šiddatu) or in a reed šaddu-container (šaddu) at the temple and should be delivered via Ina-ṣilli-Nanaya (IṢN). The sender promises to return the writing board to Uruk. The letter contains two inquiries after the well-being of one or both recipients by two men, both named Nabu-bān-aḫi. After this passage, the sender again requests that the writing board containing information on oxen and ribs (uzu.ṣallu) and travel provisions (ṣidītu) be given to IṢN. The same man is also mentioned in a broken section at the end.
