Letter of Nabû-lē’i to the Royal Resident (qīpu), the High Priest (šatammu) and the Temple Scribe (ṭupšar bīti), asking them to do him a favor. The recipients have sent Amīl-Nanaya (AN) to work a field, but the sender now requests that he be sent to him so that he can work where the sender is, asking them not to be negligent about this (lā šelû), stressing that people where he’s at and him are looking forward to welcoming him, possibly in a celebratory manner. AN is taking care of the recipients’ service (maṣṣartu), but the sender asks for him anyways because they really need him, and that AN is a worshipper of the goddesses of Uruk. He closes with an emphatic repetition of how important this is for them, and asks to be notified about the progress.
