Paraphrase

Letter of the Governor of the Sealand (šākin māti) to Ninurta-šarru-uṣur (Royal Resident, qīpu), Nabû-nādin-šumi (/Bēl-šumu-iškun//Dābibī, High Priest, šatammu) and Marduk-ēṭir (/Bēl-šumu-iškun//Dābibī, Temple Scribe, ṭupšar bīti), “his brothers”, reminding them not to be negligent (lā šelû) about their work and their service (maṣṣartu), about stolen goods in a broken passage, urgently demanding 50 or 60 bow-cases (kuš.tillu) in the current year. He also demands skeins of combed wool (ṣuppu). The sender emphasizes that he has taken care of the recipients' service (maṣṣartu) for 15 years and now he calls this in, telling them to take care (suddir-ma) of his service (maṣṣartu) regarding an allocation of building equipment (simmānû), emphasising that he is not asking for much and that he will return the favor. In closing, he demands 10 gammidatu-garments of red (tabarru) and clean skeins of wool (ṣuppu).
