Paraphrase

Letter or Marduk-šarrāni to Marduk-ēṭir (/Bēl-šumu-iškun//Dābibī, Temple Scribe, ṭupšar bīti) (ME), “his father”, cautioning the recipient not to act based on information by Nergal-iddin (akī pî… alāku). He also states that he checked on Nabû-mukīn-zēri (NMI), who has nothing at his disposal and is idle instead of doing his work. In broken context, the sender mentions silver and necessities (ḫišiḫtu), and something ME should give someone (NMI?), framing it as a favor (ṭābtu) to the sender for which he will be under the recipient’s order (našpartu alāku). He stresses ME’s role and asks him not to give out (nadānu) silver as prebendary income (pappasu). In closing, he asks for ME’s decision (ṭēmu lū šemû).
