Letter of Itti-Bēl-limmir (IBL) to Marduk-šākin-šumi (/Bēl-šumu-iškun//Dābibī, High Priest, šatammu) (MŠŠ), “his father”, accompanying several men, Rēmūtu, Bēl-kāṣir and the messengers of Nabû-šumu-iškun (NŠI). IBL stresses that NŠI is his "brother" (aḫu) and that the recipient should also have a brotherly relationship with him, taking good care of his men. The sender emphasizes that MŠŠ is responsible for dyeing tanks (naṣraptu) of red purple wool (argamannu) in the palace. He also states that he wants to (be able?) to tell MŠŠ that he did a lot of MŠŠ's service (maṣṣartu).
