Paraphrase

Letter of Marduk-šākin-šumi (/Bēl-šumu-iškun//Dābibī, Temple Scribe, ṭupšar bīti) (MŠŠ) to the High Priest (šatammu, Kudurru = crown prince Nabû-kudurri-uṣur), “his brother”, about a Urukean woman, (f)Innin-kēširat, designated as the sender’s “sister” (aḫatu). MŠŠ stresses his personal relationship with this woman. A man, designated as the temple administrator’s “brother” (aḫu) took her to Babylon without fulfilling his obligations towards her: allowances (kurummatu), a cloth (muṣiptu) and oil. The sender asks the recipient to make the man stand by his obligations, otherwise, the woman should be sent back. At the end of the letter, MŠŠ sender stresses his loyalty (unclear: towards the addressee or towards the woman).
