Paraphrase

Letter of Balāssu and Nidinti-Šamaš (/Šamaš-mūkin-apli//Šangû-Šamaš, scribe, ṭupšarru) to Nādinu (/Bēl-aḫḫē-iqīša//Egibi), Kīnaya (= Ištar-mukīn-apli//Zēria), Balāṭu (/Sîn-ibni//Rēˀi-alpi) and Mūrānu (Nabû-bāni-aḫi//Ekur-zākir) (temple scribes, ṭupšarru ša Eanna), “his (singular) brothers”, requesting poultry, 20 to 30 one month old birds. Until their eggs and then the birds are available, they request 5 ducks for (ritual) selection (parāsu). They ask to hear a decision on this soon (kapdu, ṭēmu lū šemû).
