Letter of Balāṭu (likely /Innin-zēru-šubši, a herdsmen) (B), to Nādinu (/Bēl-aḫḫē-iqīša//Egibi), Kīnaya (= Ištar-mukīn-apli//Zēriya) and Mūrānu (Nabû-bāni-aḫi//Ekur-zākir) (temple scribes, ṭupšarru ša Eanna), "his fathers", about dates, silver, barley, cattle, and dried figs.

He reports on half a mina of silver for dates for the allowances (kurummatu) of the oblates (širku) which was paid out as barley from the karammu-silo, recorded on 3rd of m.I and handed out by Ištar-ālik-pāni, courtier (ša rēši) (and oblate, širku), and Rēmūt, a runner (musaḫḫiru), with the document being deposited with the barley of the karammu-silo.

He reports on cattle which Mannu-kī-dāda (/Nabû-zabad) (MKD) led away and which was recorded as MKD’s outstanding delivery in replacement (kutallu) cows (for missing plough oxen) by order of the High Priest (of Eanna). B then complains about the Keeper of the Royal Box (in Eanna) (ša muḫḫi quppi ša Eanna), who led away 4 bulls, in part suitable for sacrifice, for the offering for the king from Ina-ṣilli-Nanāya, Nabû-aḫu-iddin’s slave, without informing B. B also answers a previous message by the recipients about barley for the cattle shed, telling them that Nanaya-aḫu-iddin (NAI) only brought 30;0 instead of the ordered 70;0 because, according to NAI, he could not obtain more barley.

B then reproaches the recipients that despite writing to them several times, he has not been told what to do about dried figs for which 1 mina of silver for which Šamaš-zēru-ibni had already been paid, but which have not yet been received.
