Broken letter of Šumaya (Š) to Nādinu (/Bēl-aḫḫē-iqīša//Egibi) (temple scribe, ṭupšarru ša Eanna), Šulaya (possibly a temple scribe, ṭupšarru ša Eanna), [Balāṭu (/Sîn-ibni//Rēˀi-alpi)] and Mūrānu (Nabû-bāni-aḫi//Ekur-zākir) (temple scribes, ṭupšarru ša Eanna), ["his brothers"], about fields. After a broken passage, taking possession of a field [according to] Š’s old (property) records is mentioned. The sender then informs the recipients that a certain Balāṭu told Nādinu, the royal cupbearer (šu!.du8.du, for šāqû) about an incoming message by the temple scribes. The sender then told him that he would send oblates (širku) and slaves, which is why he informs the recipients that nobody should go down to the field in question.
