Paraphrase

Letter of […]-talim to Nādinu (/Bēl-aḫḫē-iqīša//Egibi), Kīnaya (= Ištar-mukīn-apli//Zēriya), Mūrānu (Nabû-bāni-aḫi//Ekur-zākir) and Balāṭu (/Sîn-ibni//Rēˀi-alpi) (temple scribes, ṭupšarru ša Eanna), “his lords”, about shipments and shipping conditions. He states that he sent out ships from Uruk on the 10th of m.X, but that at the gate of the (tp)Bēl-canal (nār Bēl), the water in the Tigris was too low for shipping, so he went back to the gate of the (tp)Ištar-canal (nār Ištar). Ten days later, he arrived at the house of Būlu (bu-ul, pu-ul also possible) at the gate of the Iddinaya-canal (ḫarri ša Iddinaya), which was closed and not opened until the 1st of m.XI, when the agricultural supervisor (gugallu) appealed to the treasurer (rab kāṣiri), the Chief of Chariots (rab mungi) and the deputy governor (šanû) of (tp)Bīt-Amukāni to open it. The sender informs the recipients that transport via makkû-ships has started now and describes how it will proceed, but that it is a difficult journey. He requests a leather item for oil (kuš.ka-ka šam-n[i?]) for his workmen and swears to the recipient that he was not negligent (šelû) and did not hide (from his responsibilities) (pašīru qerēbu).
