Balāṭu/Ṣillāya (B) asks Zēria/Nabû-bān-aḫi//Rēmūt-ili, a date rent farmer (ša muḫḫi sūtu), for plots in and outside Uruk for gardening (nukarribūtu). Some are in (tp)Bīt-Nabû, from those of Nabû-iqbi/Balāṭu and Šamaš-zēru-iddin/Šamaš-uballiṭ until the small date-plams inside the city gates.
B is to plant date-palms, dig canals, and guard the date-palms. For plots cultivated by hoes (bīt marri) he receives 4;0 kor of dates as sissinnu-remuneration per 1;0 kor of land, and for those by plows (bīt epinni) 3;0 kor of sissinnu-remuneration.
