The Aramaic scribe (sēpiru) spoke (qabû) the following in front of a group of freemen (mār banî) to Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādin//Dābibī (NMA), the High Priest (šatammu) of Eanna: “Bagdādu (B) (…) and Nabû-zēru-līšir the scribe have sent (šapāru) us to Eanna regarding the inspection of the sheep and goats of the temple. Show us the inspection! We will take (nasû) a copy of the inspection register of the goats, sheep and cattle with us to show B.”
NMA said in the assembly (puḫru) to (erased PN): “The inspection of the goats, sheep and cattle has never been performed in m.IX!”
The 10 freemen (mār banî) are: Šamaš-mukīn-(…)/Šamaš-(…); Marduk-aḫu-uṣur/Bēl-uballiṭ//Pūṣu; Marduk-šumu-[ibni]/Bēl-aḫu-ušabši//Amēl-Ea; Mušēzib-Bēl/Balāssu//Amēl-Ea; Nabû-aplu-iddin/(…)-uballiṭ; Esangila-mūkin-(…); Nergal-ina-tēšî-ēṭir/Nabû-mušētiq-uddî; Marduk-šumu-iddin/Nādin; Nabû-nādin-aḫi/Madān-aḫḫē-iddin; Nabû-mušētiq-uddî/(…)-ea.
