Protocol about testimony for repayment of debt
From the 10th day until the 15th day of m.XII Gimillu/Bēl-lē’i//Sîn-lēqi-unnīnī (G) shall bring (abāku) Nādinu/Bēl-lē’i//Sîn-lēqi-unnīnī (N) (his brother) to Uruk so that G can testify (kânu D) as a witness for N and bring him to Šamaš-aḫu-iddin/Nergal-dānu (ŠAI).
N owes ŠAI 12 shekels of silver from a debt of 24 shekels of silver. Should G testify as a witness (kânu D) about the 12 shekels, he will be cleared (zakû). If not, he will pay ŠAI in barley the 12 shekels of silver and the interest according to the price of m.II.
This is above and over (elat) a contract that Nūrēa concluded with Gimillu (riksu rakāsu).
3 witnesses and the scribe: Pir’u/Tabnēa//Bāʾiru
Note:
Gimillu and Nūrēa are also parties of the transaction of YOS 6 105
