Aplāya/Šellebu has sworn by Bēl, Nabû, and the majesty (adê) of Darius that his kur.ra-garment, which he had already reported lost to Bēl-iddin, High Priest (šatammu), after entrusting it (paqādu) to Dannu-aḫḫēšu-ibni/Nanāya-aḫu-iddin (DAI), has neither been returned to him nor fetched from DAI, and that he has not acted unlawfully (ina sarti) by taking it and entrusting it to someone else. When a witness testifies against him (and proves that he lied), he will bear the penalty (ḫīṭu) of the gods and the king.
