Paraphrase

Marduk-šākin-šumi/Taqīš-Gula//Nūr-Sîn purchases a plot with land cultivated for grain (pī šulpi) and planted with date palms from Eanna-līpī-uṣur/Rēmūtu//Sîn-leqe-unninnī (ELU). This is the land that ELU claimed back (ina tapqerti târu D) as part of his patrimony (akī bīt abbūti).

This plot is a part of the ‘fifty cubit’-field complex (hanšû) of Arad-Gula/Nādinu//Sîn-leqe-unninnī (AG). It is located in the district (pīhātu) of Uruk by the (tp)Canal of Guzaru (nār-Guzāru) and stretches from the lower side of the city further down (ultu šēpīt āli adi šupāl āli). Its narrow sides are 250 cubits long. It is adjacent to the properties of Nabû-ēṭir/Ukkumu//Ekur-zākir and AG (called here the “giver” (nādinānu) of the field), and the plot that was part of the same property (libbi eqli).

46 shekels of silver in pieces (šibirtu) are declared (maḫīru nabû) as the purchase price. It is received with (adi) a supplementary payment (atru) of 5 shekels. ELU relinquishes any future claims on his behalf (or his household).

10 witnesses.

Scribe: ELU.

The document includes the clause concerning fingernail impressions of ELU, and the tablet is marked with them.
