Šumāya/Nergal-iddin//Arbāya (Š) purchases a half-share (aḫu) in a date grove from Anu-useppi/Bēl-ibni//Šangû-parakki (AU).
The field is located in the district (pīhātu) of Uruk by the (tp)Canal of Nanāya (nāru ša Nanāya) in (tp)Bīt-Zabūnu and extends up to the (tp)Angillu irrigation district (tamirtu Angillu). Its narrow sides are 900 cubits long. It is adjacent to the (tp)Canal of Nanāya, and the properties of Bēl-nāṣir/Bēl-aḫḫē-eriba, Kudurru/Nabû-zēru-ušebši, and Ea-dayyān/Ina-tēšî-ēṭir, the Governor of the Sealand (šakin Tāmti).
32 minas of silver in pieces (šibirtu) are declared (maḫīru nabû) as the purchase price. It is received with (adi) a supplementary payment (atru) of 30 shekels for the sealing of the tablet (kanāku ṭuppu).
14 persons, presumably potential claimants, are additionally paid (5 minas 2 shekels): (f)Šarrāya, wife of AU (20 shekels of silver and a naḫlaptu-garment), Silim-Bēl/Nadnāya and his brother Lâbâši-Marduk/Nanāya (25 shekels), Marduk-šumu-līšir/Anu-useppi//Šangû-parakki and his brother Ibni-Ištar/Anu-useppi//Šangû-parakki (30 shekels), Nergal-ina-tēšî-ēṭir/Anu-zēru-ibni (12 shekels), Nabû-šumu-iškun/Bēl-ušallim and Rēmūtu/Na’id-Marduk (30 shekels), Nabû-šumu-ēreš/Mušallim-Marduk and his brothers Bēl-lē’i/Mušallim-Marduk and Marduk-uballiṭ/Mušallim-Marduk (2 minas), Gula-balāssu-iqbi/Ḫuzālu (30 shekels), Apkallu/Zēr-Bābili (30 shekels), Nabû-šumu-ukīn/Ubāru (5 shekels).
This transaction will be validated (lit. sealed, kanāku) by (ana) the eldest son (māru rabû) of AU, Ea-zēru-iqīša/Anu-useppi//Šangû-parakki. AU relinquishes any future claims on behalf of his household.
18 witnesses (11 among them belong to Šangû-parakki family).
Scribe: Ištar-šumu-ēreš/Nabû-aplu-iddin//Kurī.
The document includes the clause concerning fingernail impressions of AU, and the tablet is marked with them.
