Nergal-ēṭir/Etellu purchases an inheritace share (zittu) in a parcel from Zērūtu/Nabû-aḫḫē-iddin (Z).
The parcel is located in (tp)Til-agurrēti in the ‘fifty cubit’-field complex (ḫanšû) of Šamaš-erība/Šarēdu.
4.5 shekels of silver in pieces (šibirtu) are declared (nabû) as its purchase price (maḫīru, šīmu). It is paid together with (adi) a supplementary payment of a ½ of shekel. Z relinquishes any future claims on behalf of his household. Non-compliance will result in a 12-fold repayment.
Written during the incumbency (lit.: days, ūmu) Nabû-udammiq(/Zēr-Bābili), the Governor (šākin ṭēmi) of Uruk, and in the presence of 4 witnesses.
Scribe: Marduk-šāpik-zēri/Nabû-kuṣur.
The document includes the clause concerning fingernail impressions of Z, but the tablet is not marked with them.
The year is designated as "during the closing of the gate" (ina edēl bābi).
