Paraphrase

Nabû-šumu-ēreš/Nabû-aḫḫē-šullim//Rīm-Anu (see Notes) purchases a parcel with a ruined house (bītu abtu) and unbuilt land (kišubbû) from Nadnāya/Nabû-ēṭir//Bēl-eṭēru (N).

The plot is located in Uruk in the quarter (erṣetu) of the (tp)Egiḫalhal (Egiḫalhal, presumably a mistake for (tp)Egiḫalanki), and measures 35 × 35 cubits. It is adjacent to a narrow street and the house plots of Bēl-aḫḫē-iddin/Bēl-īpuš//Ekur-zākir, Nabû-apkal-ilāni/Mukīn-[…]//Rīm-Anu (or: Nabû-apkal-ilāni/Du-[…]//Rīm-Anu), Tabnēa/[...]-nāṣir (or: Tabnēa/[…]-uṣur), and [...]/[…]-ibni. This is the agreed area under sale, irrespective of whether the plot is found to be larger or smaller (atār u maṭû mala bašû) (upon measuring).

1 mina and 30 shekels of silver in pieces (šibirtu) are declared (maḫīru nabû) as the purchase price. It is received with (adi) a supplementary payment (atru) of 1 KUR.RA-garment. N relinquishes any future claims on behalf of his household.

8 witnesses.

Scribe: Dummuqu/Nabû-ēṭir//Sippê.

The document includes the clause concerning the fingernail impressions of N, and the tablet is marked with them.

Notes

The reading 'Nabû-šumu-ēreš' may be a mistake for 'Ištar-šumu-ēreš', who was a well-known member of the Rīm-Anu family.
