Paraphrase

Letter of Bēl-zēru-ibni (BZI) to Nabû-mukīn-zēri (/Nādinu//Dābibī, High Priest, šatammu) (NMZ), "his brother", about outposts which are checked by a royal messenger once a month and which NMZ should have manned with hired workers. As NMZ is close to the outposts, BZI did not inform the king about this problem. BZI then informs the High Priest that Šamaš-zēru-ibni (SZI), chief of flocks (rab būli), left his outposts abandoned. NMZ should therefore put him in fetters and sent him to BZI, and he should equip (rašādu Š) SZI’s troops with quivers, lances, iron daggers, pīḫātu-textiles (túg.pu-ḫa-tú) and headgear.
