Paraphrase

Letter of Nabû-aḫu-iddin (NAI) (Royal Overseer, ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) to the High Priest (of Eanna, šatammu, Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādinu//Dābibī), "his brother", complaining about work. NAI confers with the recipient about dates, clarifying a previous exchange about them via a quote from an earlier message and suggesting that 0;0.0.1 per person are given out as sumuttu-allowances so that the work gets done. NAI mentions a positive message by Zabdī (Z), chief of outposts (rab kādāni) and asks the recipient to support Z. NAI reminds the High Priest of the importance of the goods delivered to the palace of (tp)Abanu. NAI reports on supposed high prices in Uruk and attempts to take advantage of local price differences where he is at, but the reported prices seem to be hard to find at his location. NAI goes on to request a large amount of silver, urges that his messenger should return to him soon and complains about work. In closing, he informs the High Priest about dates for the exit tolls of (tp)Bīt-Amukāni which were reportedly taken by Itti-Šamaš-balāṭu (IŠB). The High Priest should therefore send IŠB to NAI.
