Paraphrase

This work contract engaged Nanāya-aḫu-iddin/Ibni-Ištar, referred to in the text as substitute (rāsinu) for a baker, to deliver makūtu-breads made of barley and emmer to the Eanna temple, as well as dates for mirsu-cakes, to be delivered in sillu-baskets on the following occasions:

  • one day of an eššešu-festival,
  • for Ištar, Nanāya, and Bēltu-ša-Rēš, and
  • for the small sanctuaries.

The contract was concluded in the presence of Zēria/Ibnāya/Egibi, High Priest (šatammu) of Eanna, and Gabbi-ilāni-šarru-uṣur, Royal Resident (qīpu) of Eanna.

3 witnesses and the scribe Nādinu/Bēl-aḫḫē-iqīša//Egibi

Notes

Balāṭu/Sîn-ibni//Rē’i-alpi, the second witness, is also attested as a scribe in the documentation of the Eanna. He frequently appears alongside Nādinu, the scribe of this text, in protocols.
