Ibni-Ištar/Marduka//Nappaḫu (II) sells his slave (qallu) Šamaš-ittīya for [x]+5 shekels of silver to Balāssu/Marduk-šumu-ibni//Bābūtu and Nabû-mušētiq-uddî/Marduk-šumu-ibni//Bābūtu. After the sale clause follow standard guarantee clauses (damaged). The operative section ends with a statement that a house belonging to II next to the house of Imbia/Taqīš-Gula//Ḫanbu that he had taken back from Kunāya/Tabnēa//Bā’iru and Pir’u/Tabnēa//Bā’iru is pledged to the buyer. The connection between the two transactions is unclear; it is to be sought in the two damaged lines separating the operative section’s beginning and end.
3 witnesses are listed, including Imbia (mentioned above). The scribe is Šamaš-nādin-apli/Šamaš-zēru-ibni//Kudurrānu, in Uruk.
Note in connection with this text the earlier GCCI 1 385, in which Ibni-Ištar purchases Šamaš-ittīya. Based on this text, the date can be inferred to be between the date of GCCI 1 385 (Nbn.03.XII.11) and the end of the reign of Nabonidus.
