Zumbu/Rēmūtu (Z), oblate of Ištar of Uruk, reports a conspiracy in the presence of an assembly (puḫru) of 8 officials (qīpānu) and freemen (mār banî) including Imbia/Nanāya-ēreš//Kidin-Marduk, Royal Resident (qīpu) of Eanna, Šamaš-mukīn-apli/ Nādinu//Dābibī (NMA), High Priest (šatammu) of Eanna. Z says that on Dar. 01.I.17 Anu-zēru-ušebši/Lâbâši (AZU), oblate of Ištar of Uruk, told him that Gimillu, rent farmer (ša muḫḫi sūti) of the Lady of Uruk, concluded a contract (riksu rakāsu) for killing Sîn-šarru-uṣur (SŠU), Royal Overseer (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna. The officials and freemen then send (šapāru) and brought (abāku) AZU to the assembly, who swears by the gods that during his lifetime, he did not hear anything illicit (sipru) regarding SŠU from G, from any of his folks, or from men (ṣābu) under his management (qātē), and that he told Z nothing of the sort.
