Letter of Marduk-šumu-uṣur to Šumu-ukīn, his lord. Mentions a letter from the royal resident and the high priest sent to the king with respect to Nabû-aḫḫē-šullim: a letter of the king’s has arrived for the Royal Resident ordering [the delivery of] all that belongs to the temple. This is said to be good news. A statement of the royal resident referring to cattle and a donkey driver taken by Šumu-ukīn is referred to. The dates are to be measured until the first day (of the month), according to the royal resident.
Šumu-ukīn is to be identified as the agricultural entrepreneur of that name, Nabû-aḫḫē-šullim is a chief of ploughmen (rab ikkarāti). The date must be between ca. 30 Nbk and 1 Nbn.
