Innin-šumu-ibni/Nabû-aḫḫē-šullim (IŠI) adopts Dannu-aḫḫē-ibni (DAI), the 17 days old baby of his sister (f)Bāltāya/Nabû-aḫḫē-šullim ((f)B). IŠI promises to register (šaṭāru) DAI as the younger brother (tardennu) of his son Lâbâši (L), and to raise him as long as (f)B will be a temple prostitute (ḫarim(t)ūtu epēšu). When she enters into the household (bītu) of a freeman (mār banî), IŠI will pay 12 shekels of silver for the maintenance of DAI, including allowances (kurummatu), beer, salt, cress (saḫlû), and muṣiptu-garment for (f)B. IŠI swears by Anu and Ištar not to give DAI in friendship (ṭābtu) and brotherhood (aḫḫūtu) to his brother Nabû-zēru-līšir and his sister (f)Eširtu. Together DAI and L shall serve (palāḫu) the Lady of Uruk and the king.
A curse invoking Anu, Ištar, and the majesty (adê) of Nebuchadnezzar against changing this agreement is written below the date form.
