A1 and A2, sons(?) of C approach (ana pāni alāku) B, the rent farmer (ša muhhi sūti) of the Lady-of-Uruk(?) and ask (qabû) him to hire them for (agricultural) work (dullu epēšu). B agrees (šemû, lit. listens to them, wr. i-še-iš-šú-nu-tu).
B will provide (nadānu) them with 4 oxen, 1 ploughshare (lišānu), 1 appatu-tool, and 2 spades (marru) for their work. He will also give them 20 kor of land (alternatively, 20 kor of seeds), similar to (libbū) what the ploughmen (ikkaru) of the Lady-of-Uruk (get), and will measure (mašāhu, wr. i-ma-áš-hi) and receive (mahāru) (the barley) from them.
