Labour contract for agricultural work. Dialogue document.

A, a ploughman (ikkaru) of the Lady-of-Uruk, reaches an agreement, of his own free will (ina hūd libbišu), with B, the messenger (mār šipri) of king Neriglissar. He asks (qabû) him to give him (nadānu, bīnamma) ploughmen (ikkaru) needed for 2 ploughs, in accordance to (akī) the inspection (amirtu) recorded in the register (lēˀu) of the Lady-of-Uruk. B agrees (šemû, lit. listens).

B will provide A with 8 oxen, 50 kor of land (zēru qaqqaru), and 40 kor of barley for (ana) seed (zēru). In return, A promises to deliver yearly a net (gamru) of 600 kor of barley to (ana) the Lady-of-Uruk in (ina) the Eanna.

They will use the measure (mašīhu) of the Lady-of-Uruk. B guarantees (pūtu našû) for the water (supply). The final clause is fragmentary: A will provide two ... 130 urāšu-workers to B.

Names of 3 witnesses and the scribe.
