Sale of a female slave
Nabû-zēru-ukīn/Mannu-damu (NZU) voluntarily (ina ḫūd libbišu) sold (f)Nanāya-rāmat, his female slave, to Šamaš-aḫu-iddin/Nergal-dannu (ŠAI) for 37 shekels of silver, her full purchase price.
Amurru-bān-aḫi/Amurru-zēru-ibni and NZU guarantee (pūt našû), in the presence of (f)Ḫursanni/Iddia, the wife of NZU, to take action if a contestant (sēḫû) or a claimant (pāqirānu) comes forward with claims concerning either (f)NR’s status of a royal slave (amat šarrūti) or her status as a free woman (mār banûtu).
The purchase price has been received (eṭēru) by NZU from ŠAI.
5 witnesses and the scribe: Amurru-bān-aḫi/Amurru-zēru-ibni
Notes
Line 15 reads Nabû-aḫu-iddin. However, the context clearly indicates that the scribe intended Šamaš-aḫu-iddin.
This document belongs to the same dossier as YOS 6, 102 and YOS 6, 132.
