- Formatting remarks
- The tablet is in a much worse state than at the time it was copied. Hardly any signs are left on the reverse, which Contenau (1926 = TCL 9) copied in full. The tablet is formed quite regularly, only the left edge presents a flat indenture which would fit, e.g., a thumb well. The upper right edge is slightly compressed. The lower edge is empty.
- Format of the tablet

Content
- Paraphrase
Letter of Itti-enši-Nabû (/Bēl-remanni//Egibi) and Šamaš-aḫḫē-erība (two possible filiations, both of them are scribes, ṭupšarru) to Kīnaya (= Ištar-mukīn-apli/Zēriya, temple scribe, ṭupšarru ša Eanna), “their brother”, requesting wine for the regular offering. They state that a request for wine made to Babylon was so far not successful.
